As a large-scale academic information periodical organized by HUST, "International Academic Developments" was commissioned by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is mainly oriented to the institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutes. This periodical was founded in 1983 and has turned from quarterly publication to bimonthly publication. Till now, it has published 200 issues of periodical. HUST has been in charge of managing "International Academic Developments" for more than 30 years and it has become one of the most influential information report periodicals in our scientific and technological information industry with great repercussion.
Science and technology can never develop without information exchange. A lot of large and medium-sized international academic conferences are held around the world each year. Academic frontiers, hot issues, and developmental trends of each subject can be fully revealed in the conferences. Different schools, opinions, and research styles can create fierce collision of ideas during the conferences. International academic conference has become one of the most important information sources for scientific research.
"International Academic Developments" is the only periodical that solely focuses on publishing international academic conference reviews, overseas investigation reports, the progress of international cooperation project, and etc. The aim of this periodical is to boost "Academic Communication and Information Sharing".
